25 now. Started brewing when I was 20 with a Coopers kit from Glenbrew in Partick, made a couple of those and went all grain shortly afterwards, never looked back.

I'm 36 and have been brewing for around 18 months. My first AG was almost exactly a year ago so I should put an anniversary brew on I guess.

44 years old and I've been brewing for 28 years and making grain beers for 27 years on and off :)

Oh come on; there must be another as old, or older tha me

It appears you must be the oldest or that any older members are just not admitting to it  and letting you take the crown.

Perhaps you will get a prize :hmm: :hmm:

34 and managed to squeeze 25 AG brews in since my first around a year ago  Did around 15 kits the six months previous to that and I always have around six gallons of country or juice wines on the go ;)

The Missus thinks I brew to much......I disagree

I suppose I've got to come clean, I'm 64 in December and have dabbled in home brew since I was 14.
I've been brewing AG since 1983 :D

Ok for me to throw my hat in the door now then, seeing as I'm not the oldest Old Fart here

59 here! until Feb 2011.

43 now............
My first introduction with brewing was when I was 14 by helping my Uncle with beer kits, he let me do the bottle washing, filling and capping..........
At the age of 16 I bought a 3 gallon bucket from Boots that included an 8 pint Tom Caxton kit and 8 brown beer bottles..... (still got the bucket in't loft). I brewed kits from tins for years with medium to poor results. :(

Been brewing AG on and off since early 1990 with mixed results :(
Since finding this site and Jim's 2 years ago I now brew every 2 weeks and if I may say so myself my beers are now "very good", If not better than some commercial beers I'd been buying for years.. :thumb:

Seems as though a pattern is emerging. I made my first extract brew about 1967, dad owned a bakery so malt extract was cheap and easily available. Found a book at the local library for Avon Ale (an English Ale, I live in Australia). Brewed this up in my dad's garage in a new plastic rubbish bin using Bakers yeast. Dad thought it was ok, he drank it

After some partial mash attempts I converted a 38L round cooler for use as a mash tun, slowly over the years kit has been upgraded. Now the system is a 4 Vessel Stainless HERMS with a max brewlength of 70L.

I turned 40 this year - the Mrs (and the neighbours who end up holding my deliveries for me until I get home from work) is convinced the brwing is a mid-life crisis sort of thing

I hope it lasts longer than that :drink: :drink:

I've only been brewing for 10 months, and moved into AG very recently - did my first one two weeks ago

I'm 34 and have only been brewing for around six months, a couple of kits and some turbo ciders and fruit juice wines.
Been brewing AG now for around oooo 12 hours or so lol  did my first yesterday and can't wait to try it.
Amazing hop smells from the kitchen. Fingers crossed it turns out okay

I object!

I might be an old fart but I don't wear wooly jumpers :nono:

Rapidly heading towards 40, I've been brewing about 5 weeks now! Though I did make an attempt years ago but quickly gave up once I tasted the results. I'm probably going to start getting the kit together to try AG come payday. Luckily I still have the Electrim bin from first time around... plus a few bits and pieces from Boots.

36 and brewing AG since April 2007, had a year brewing kits prior to that :thumb:

Gentlemen, we are being led from the crib!

Thanks, I'll take that as a compliment.

"Led" however is wide of the mark ;)

(ps. are you on another one of your wind-up evenings, they are rather amusing  bit early for you though :hmm: )
