How hot a brew belt?

r dunno, i use a belt cos i brew in the shed and it can get cold in there

I too ferment in the shed, My Fermenting vessels are well insulated and it's only when the ambient temp drops below 10C do I actually need to add heating . . . most of the time my issue is exactly the opposite and I have to cool the FV's down . . . So I use a digital thermostat that can control a small heater and the pump on my beer chiller . . . which feeds cold water round a stainless coil in the FV . . . I use a heating belt to heat . . . but attached to the thermostat.

I've had beer ferment at the upper end of the high 20's - low 30's using a standard heater belt . . . beer was not pleasant
