Hi all

Tomorrow I am making a Doom Bar clone and the recipie calls for a hop stand step at 80 degrees for 60 mins.

I usually use bags to put hops in the kettle so would it be best to also leave these boil step hops in during the hop step alongside those hop additions or remove them at the end of the boil. I am thinking I should leave them in as if I didn't use bags I would have to?

Many thanks.

It depends on whether your IBU's have been calculated for the hopstand and the standard hop drops as if not your standard hops will contribute extra IBU's if left in longer than the boil time which may or may not be to your taste.
I would remove them myself and do the hopstand on its own

Think I would prefer to do that thanks I'll go with that.
