Due to the fact that my hop plants have started very early this year Im wondering if anyone wants some cuttings. I grow Challenger, Target ang Progress on my allotment, and I have the same in large tubs that I use for taking cuttings (Mother Plants). These are nowhere near ready yet and cuttings wont be available until mid May. Just guaging interest if anyone is interested in them. I cant charge for something I do for enjoyment, so your all welcome to them.
I do have some well formed rooted cuttings from last year, that again, are free of charge for those who want to collect.

i would love to have some free hops but no money atm to pay for fuel ;(

if things improve ill be in touch

nice offer though

Can hops be grown out of a tub/ planter? I've got the perfect wall to train them but the ground is paid over underneath.

would love some for my allotment if you would be willing to post them, will pay all costs of course

If there are any available I would like to be put on the list please. Paying for your time, postage and packing is not a problem, so pm me for the amount required and I will send by either post or Paypal.

Thankyou

Neil

Hi Johnny,

I like gardening and beer too! If you would be prepared to try and post me a couple of cuttings up to Scotland I would very much love to try and grow them. Obviously I would cover the PnP and send you something in return.

Cheers,

Thanks for all the interest. All your names have been noted. As I said they are nowhere near ready yet and wont be until mid May, at the earliest. These cutings will be 12 months behind rhizomes, so your looking at a minimum of 2 years before you can harvest (what the hell, theyre free). Ive got a few ideas on how to post them, but maybe other gardeners might come up with some ideas.

Damp kitchen roll into a plastic sealable bag and into a jiffy bag works no probs. Mid may to end of may would suit me brill as thats when swmbo comes back over. Had some sent to turkey in the past, first lot got sent back by customs -i got an empty bag!! and second lot took too long to get here and didnt grow at all. So this year i am determined to get some cuttings/rhizomes here in good shape so i can grow my own as thats the one thing that i struggle to get sent here.
