Hop Boil length question

Whurr the ol' M5 crosses the ancient M4...
I understand a boil of at least 60min is required with all grain, to drive off any DMS and to secure a reasonable hot break.

However, is it necessary to include hops at 60mins? I understand that an hours boil will isomerise the alpha acids better, but could you, say, add double the hops at 30 mins and get the same effect whilst retaining more flavours/aromas?

Just wondering really...
