Hi guys, I am new to the home brewing scene, only just finished my first brew the other week. However, after the fermentation process I put the beer into a keg for the next two week process. Left the beer in the same place as it fermented and then moved it to a colder place for the next week. However, when I moved it into the colder place there was a slight hiss coming from the valve at the top. At the time I thought nothing of it however after the next week when I tried to pour some beer it struggled to come out of the keg and it came out quite flat. Therefore, I decided to put some gas in it and the beer came out much quicker and thankfully a with a bit more fizz and head but there was a much stronger hiss after this. Is this a problem with my key or is this normal? Could someone help before I start my next brew. Thank you

I've also found that the rubber 'band' thing (sorry I can't think of a better mane for it) around the pressure release part of the valves sometimes don't sit correctly and let gas escape when the pressure builds up a bit. A small dab of veseline between the band and the metal valve.
