Hi
This is my second venture into home brewing, the first (about 20 year ago) was a bit of a disaster, i used push on tops on 1 pint Newcy brown bottles and 30+ of the buggers popped off, what was left was decent enough though, so i thought id have another crack at it.
The wife bought me a starter kit and some Geordie Bitter and Wherry for xmas, this is conditioning in the shed, ive also got some Wilko's Cerveza and Wilko's Forest Fruits Cider on the go. Thing is now, i'm wanting to get a bit more adventurous, my next brew being a Coopers Stout with treacle, but i'm unsure of the amount of sugar to use if adding treacle, and what effect this has on the abv. if anyone can point me to any relevant threads i'd be most grateful.

Hi and welcome , you will find vast improvements in quality of kits mainly the 2 can kits and loads of tips easy to search for . Have a good read through in the 'How to .... section plenty there .
