i am trying to work out how i can get a thermocouple (pt100) coming out of my mash tun through a T joint just like they have on the Electric brewery site, but i just dont know where to start as in things like NPT thread and things like that mean absolutely nothing to me can anyone recommend the parts and thermocouple to match please.
i have also been looking on ebay at PT100s and they are so cheap like 99p what makes these so cheap compared to the other ones i have seen are they any good for what i need

The brass part is a turned down nut with a M8 thread, which fits the PT100. The nut is inserted into a copper reducer. I did PM Springer about these nuts, but he must be away. I was hoping he would send me one as I need it to fit my PT100 in my HLT.
