Maybe not cowboys but it seems a bit amateurish to claim over a hundred yeasts and have so many out of stock. Took me a while to even find the yeast as is listed as an additive, the most important thing we use as an additive? Doubt if I will go there again.

I put an order in at Geterbrewed on Tuesday this week and it arrived on Thursday.
A large variety of grain crushed to a good grade and in nice strong sealed bags. Hop pellets vacuum packed in foil.
All labelled clearly.
So all pretty much like Malt Miller but 1/3 off their prices.
If my efficiencies are in line and the hop pellets smell fresh and oily then I am sure I will use them again.

Had an email at the weekend from GEB stating

"Our sale is ending soon and we have just restocked across all the ranges, fresh liquid yeast arriving this week too"

Was hoping they'd restock the yeasts soon!

It's a shame, I liked their range and the quality of their products but there was just one too many cockups for me which weren't handled all that well. I'm back to using HBC who have always given me good service, but I may be tempted back to GEB in the future.

I would use HBC, but I haven't got anywhere to store 25kg of malt - yet. I'm also don't want to buy a single brew's worth of kit, so I have to go with somewhere that will sell me 5-15 kg of malt.

Perhaps if I can find someone to go halves with, HBC will be a good option

Ive started buying Golden Promise (25kg Sack) for that reason as its quite a versatile base malt. You can use it for ales but it also is qood for light (pseudo) lagers too

I regurlarly ship items to that area.
There is a higher delivery charge for postcodes IV1-28, 30-32, 36, 40, 52-54, and 63.
Our courier charges an extra £2.00 (for up to 30kgs.) The most we charge being £7.95...

I've been surprised in the past that Wyeast and White Labs are sold in the same places and don't try to strong arm shops into exclusivity.
That would be illegal in the EU under the competition rules.

I did a brew with GEB malt and hops yesterday.
I found the crush a bit too fine for the Grainfather, maybe if I had told they could have adjusted that, not sure?
My effiency was good but the mash was not flowing well and I had to stop half way and stir in more rice hulls, which GEB do not sell.
Hop's not sure about, they are smaller pellets than Malt Miller or Home Brew Shop supply and I have a feeling they are not stored as well. They had less aroma than I expected, but then I've never used Cascade before. Just Malt Miller and HBS pellets are a bit shiney with oil and really give off a lot of smell.
So maybe it is pay premium prices get premium product?
I will know for sure when I taste the beer.
