I have just had a telling off on another forum (work one) for quoting someone and adding a load of smiles.

I got this response do you think he is having a bad day

Forcing forum users to re-read what they have already read in a recent post, clogs forum resources unnecessarily, and adds nothing to your own words in the way of meaning or context, Graysalchemy.

I don't think they like me.

No www.theframersforum.com.

The mod has now patronised me in another post so I have quoted his own rules

Forum Rules
1. Be Nice
2. If you can't be nice, see rule one.

I am awaiting a reply.

He is a very sneaky mod as well as operates as an undercover mod, he posts as a member not a mod with a very low postings number, but I recognised his name a web address as the owner of the forum    .

I will probably be banned by the end of the day.

I hope are mods never get that rude or sneaky

Cheers

AG

Our mods are enthusiasts & apart from the odd "Forum Ninja" work that some do with a smile, it's unlikely they will ever be like that.

I am NOT creeping

Seriously though, this is a very friendly forum :thumb:

You are a god Aleman and can be sneaky just don't be rude (not that you would)

Sorry to be embarrasing when you have told us not to.

Latest update I have just replied to him, and told him to take out the quote button if he didn't want us to use it.He evidently doesn't like the use of the quote button and said members who don't use it are being 'nice' to other members.

I have told him that I would have reported him to the mods if it wasn't the fact that he was site admin (he owns the site).

So I doubt I will be celebrating 1000 posts on their.

Well it's easy don't use the quote button just copy and paste everything :thumb:

Oh I've done it again this is where I pick up my bad habits.

I told him that. His argument is by using quotes you are forcing people to read the quote, so I told him by not putting stuff in quotes people will read it and think oh feck I have already read this, but if you use quotes people can choose not to read but still know the post they are reading relates to a previous post.

Anyway it has been 40mins since my post and he hasn't responded. Their is probably an emergency meeting of Ninja Mods deciding my fate.

by using quotes you are forcing people to read the quote

Maybe they need something like this:
You may embed only 3 quotes within each other.

Just found this when I tried to do something as a joke

I think they have sent me to Coventry.

:P :P

Mind you you wait for days for someone to post anything.

Tell him that both of those commas are superfluous.

I have noticed that on this forum, when quoting a post, most members edit that post and only repeat one or two relevant sentences

It's Even more Fun to top post
