Just uncovered my bottles to see how it was clearing after 2 weeks in the cold and I have noticed some little black bits in the sediment in some of the bottles.
They are like small pepper corns, is this normal/acceptable?
Is it going to affect the taste?
Other than that the beer is perfectly clear, by the way.

How confident are you on the cleanliness of those bottles?

If there was a small amount of beer left over in those bottles from their previous life, it could have dried out to be a sticky or even dry (depending on the amount of time that past) substance which may have survived the cleaning routine.

I'm only thinking of this because I was bottling last weekend and had to toss a few bottles that I couldn't get dark residue out of even after a good soaking.

Cheers Rob, Baz, Pinck I've tried a bottle and was pleased with the taste (a little harsh on the aftertaste if I were to nitpick)
But I was meticulous on the cleansing of the bottles, didn't want to ruin it at that late stage.

Will do Grays...cheers mate
Took the advice of many and got plenty on the go...makes it easier to be be patient doesn't it?
