I remember watching that documentary about flat earthers, they did an experiment where they put up a green laser marker at exactly 90° about 2 miles from a white sheet.
As expected it missed the sheet... And then those knobs started all kinds of mental gymnastics to explain what happened...

Coincidentally I spotted that documentary on Prime or Netflix just yesterday and momentarily contemplated watching it. What put me off was some bloke excitedly saying something like "If we can prove that, then that's it!". I decided it would be kind of morbid to watch it.
Can't remember what it was (probably "No such thing as a fish") but someone on a podcast (or maybe it was on the telly) said everyone should have a chat with a flat earther, as long as it remains civil, as you can get insight into challenging accepted knowledge.
If these people think the earth is flat why is their "evidence" continually debunked but they still persist. If it is flat then what is the reason for disproving it?
Why doesn't Elon whatshisname or Richard Branston take the top earth flat man up in one of their sky rockets and do some observations.
Also...could the earth actually exist in a flat form?
If the earth is flat doesn't that also suggest the other celestial bodies..ie. planets we can observe are also flat but also also mysteriously disc shaped, as a ball appears from a distance??

I think in reality 99% of them know it’s rubbish but get off on the exasperation they cause. The other 1% ???

Ah. You say that @phildo79 , but what if they're right? Everybody used to think swans were white until they discovered Australia and that's good enough for me. There's no smoke without fire.
Best to keep an open mind and not go too close to the edge, just in case. You know it makes sense!
