Discovered my first ever batch of spoiled wine at the weekend, my Elderbbery from last September.

Notice some odd spots and marks on the inside of the glass, emptied one out and the bottle had loads of slimey growths covering the bottom and half way up the sides.

26 Bottles down the drain.

Not entirely sure what i did wrong but obviously was some sanitization issue. Im wondering if i didnt CT after ferment??

Interestingly the 4 gallon of "Light Elderberry" i made from the elderberry pulp after the first initial ferment is absolutely fine.

Live and learn i guess.

Yes live and learn. Always keep a running paper log for each brew, beer or wine, whatever you do write it down. Makes it easier to look back and see your mistakes
How was your wine kept ssince last September ? in a demi jon with an air lock or solid bung ? Both of those need checking regular during storage as they can come loose, dry out and cause you problems...
