Hi everyone, this is my first post with a question on Final Gravity readings.

I am brewing a Geordie Yorkshire Bitter kit with Enhancer which was dissolved in boiled water which contained 25g of golding hops. Strained to plastic bin and added SO4 yeast and total liquid 23ltrs.

Starting gravity 1.036 and now hydrometer seems to stick at 1.012 for 2 days.

Is this ready for the barrel or should the reading be lower. Can't see any bubbles rising.

Mike

Already drinking Coopers Australian Ale & Coopers Brewmaster IPA - Both good.

1.012 for two days sounds like it's done to me ;)
Beer kits finish at higher gravities especially when you add extra malt extract :thumb:

Thanks very much. That answers my question and gives me info that I didn't know about adding extra malt. Will barrel now.
