Got this response later on today:

"Well you did not tell me you was not happy with water boiler and claimed your money back through paypal so could you then please send back if your not happy"

Yeah - what did you honestly think my reaction was going to be once I saw that you took the p*ss?! Unbelievable...

My goodness the audacity of the seller; I thought it was all done & dusted. Then I find that they've emailed me today to say:

"When are you going to return the boiler or when can we collect it?"

Kind of at a loss as to what my reply should be. I had no contact from them during the eBay dispute, and although I got a refund is the item technically theirs/mine?

You've been refunded so they are entitled to have it back in the same condition you got it. I don't see that you should incur any expense in that respect so let them know that they can come and get it at they just need to sort out a time.

If there was 3 elements in it it would have been wired as star point connected which means each element would have been 240v and would have been perfectly usable on single phase supply allthough it would need to be reconfigured. Do you still have it if so please post some pics so we can see it.

@ Jeltz

True - but they dragged it out right to the end and now they decide they want their hunk of scrap metal back, after weeks of silence. I wonder if I can give them a time limit? I lost a days' wages waiting for it to be delivered; it wasn't so it meant rescheduling again but they just dumped it outside.

@ winnywood

Yep - three elements but the section where the lead meets the boiler has been hacked off, meaning you'd have to pull out the whole thing somehow or cut the metal to get to it.

I'd be tempted to give them a selection of.times to pick it up. And make sure they are all out of hours for maximum inconvienience / return cost to them lol.

Well, it's been over a week since I told them they could come collect it, and hopefully apologise/explain why they tried to pull a fast one. But nothing. At all. Not a whisper. And so I have this stuck outside; here's links to some photos I took.

The problem I face; the power cable has been sheared off and won't come out
