Well, the parcel arrived today and I told the postman blah blah blah and he didn't deliver it xD Told him to send it back. Money was released the other day so I got my money too. Do I feel sad? Nope, when I say no returns I mean no returns and there's nothing ebay can do about it ^^ So lesson here, if you have a parcel arrive by post you can legally refuse to accept it and what happens to it after that, possibly returned to sender, possibly stays in the sorting office and then destroyed 3 months later. Either way I don't care xD

Sooo it turns out that ebay regardless of you deleting your acc details, still retains them. And here's another thing, even if you delete you paypal account. They still have access to you bank account details (because you gave it to em) and they will withdraw money even then. Fraudsterbay.com

You'll have to block them via your bank.
I asked my bank to do that and they said there was no need if I had deleted my acc details from the account. I did that two months ago and still I got charged.

Well, had a long rant at ebay support, accused them of fraud etc. They said they would deal with it, I said ima taking it to trading standards. Their rules are so inconsistent. It's fraud. Also a breach of the data protection act and theft aye.

I'd get your bank on it.
Still missing the point here tho bud. You can do what you want at your end of an account. But they don't change their own records. Data protection breach tut tut. Just warning peeps ;)

Will deal with it at teh bank tomorrow. Derby in two hours. Had planned to buy a pizza but can't now because .........nvm you know why =)

Oh and fyi peeps, even if you had specifically asked only to deal with paypal. Even if this occurs and you delete you paypal acc they still go to your bank.

I don't use eBay any more because its too easy for buyers to take the **** and when the card i registered with PP expired i didn't renew it, i will never use eBay again.

The CS asked me if I would prefer to use their procedures to get me my item back or my money. Obv I want the cash back on a no return item. But given they were so arsey. I am going to trading standards and the bank over this matter, even if the bank sort it. Still trading standards as its about time ebay were told their sh because too many buyers take the pissington. It's about time they viewed their own parsons nose tbh. And I agree. I've used other services since, I know, teh dreaded Amazon. But it's delivered with no nonsense pronti pronti. And your right about the whole thing tbh Chippy. But the one observation I make is that since this pandemic, there's been too many a-holes taking the michael out of that system. I'll never go back! =)

I had also had a bad experience with ebay sold an item for 70 quid paid all fees and postage
Then ebay charges me every month for 3 months fees for listed item
I'll never use them UNLESS I really have to
I recommend you use revolut to pay if u have to use them

To be honest i sell in CEX in the next town i may not get as much as i would in an ebay auction but its cash in hand and no comeback.

I gave up selling on eBay a year or two ago for the same reasons. Buyer protection top trumps seller protection and the reason they do it is to try and keep up with the likes of Amazon and their promise of getting what you pay for guarantee.

I sold some kids shoes on there, honestly listed as much as we could and did a load of photos and they were as nearly as good as new. The scummer buyer gave me a load of keyboard warrior verbal and calling me all sorts and making all sorts of accusations. A right nasty piece of work she was. Interestingly she admitted to seeing the very fine scuffs on the photos and I pointed this out to ebay but, as you can guess, they ruled in their favour when they submitted a dispute and I was out of pocket.

There are too many idiots on there trying to get something for nothing, "sorry I bid by mistake" or "how much to buy it now" messages and all this stuff. That with their lack of seller protection means I'm out of selling stuff on there.

I'd rather give my stuff to charity.

I used to sell on ebay, but like the guys on this post say its to complicated now to sell, and along with the scams going on it just aint worth the hassle, although i do buy from time to time on there, also noticed that its not as cheap as it used to be a few years ago.
Regards

Never had a problem buying or selling. I think many sellers make problems for themselves my not stating items have blemishes, listing things as excellent condition, and hope a photo will cover them. Far better to over exaggerate the flaws and provide good photos. People overpay for most things on ebay anyway. Using the 'buy it now' accepting best offers gets rid of most of the chancers. Especially the ones that decide they don't want an item after getting caught up in a bidding battle.
