Dry Yeast for Beavertown Neck Oil

I am preparing to brew a Beavertown Neck Oil Clone and wondering about the most suitable dry yeast for this style. One recipe has US05 another has Lalbrew Verdant IPA. Any thoughts on this?

I would expect that Beavertown uses US-05, or something very similar. But Verdant would be a good shout, it is really good for fruity hoppy ales. Either yeast would be good.

I would have said US05, as I encountered Neck Oil back when Beavertown used the black illuminati style branding, and haven't had it for years. I do wonder if it is gone the way of many beers, and now influenced by the likes of Verdant? softer, hazyier, more juicy? And whether their yeast world be more suitable?

I like how the Sainsbury's website tells you the yeast is US-05. It's not the world that I grew up in.

Sainsbury's has an open source mandate on all beers.

That, or its listed on the ingredients on the can

Obviously, one would need to substitute the US05 for the appropriate none dead, more expressive liquid equivalent, to replicate that award winning beer.

You will find the recipe on brewfather. There are a few options but the one I am brewing is from Aran Morland. According to my research, that may be the best one. If you can't find it let me know and I will send you the recipe when I am able to access it on my computer tomorrow.

Based on other comments, you may want to use US05 rather than Verdant.

I had a pint of this yesterday.

I'd agree with US05 but really any neutral yeast would do the job. M44 etc
