Hi, I've started my 2nd brew, it's been fermenting for 2 weeks now, the air lock is still bubbling occasionally do I add the finnings now and siphon in a couple of days, or leave it for a while longer??? The brew is a coopers lager, and also should I use standard sugar to prime, or brewing sugar, and how much for 40 pints????

THANX....

If it's still bubbling leave it alone. As DJ says get a hydrometer. When you have 3 readings the same over 3 days then it's time to add the finnings. I prime with regular granulated sugar with no issues so go with that as it's cheaper. You only need to use about 100g. I have never made a lager, only ale so not quite sure on the priming. For ale I use 80-100g for 23lt.

:thumb: thanks,,, I have a hydrometer, but will wait till is stops bubbling.
