hi all,

my first batch of home brew went from primary fv into a pressure keg with a tap (From wilkos) i wondering now if i should have added co2 when i racked? its been sat for a week and i havent touched it, so probably too late to do anything anyway. going forward, is there a cap i can buy for the barrel which i can inject the small co2 canisters with an over pressure valve?

thanks,

You should be fine to start with. The priming sugars will cause the yeast to produce co2 to carbonate your brew. But as the level goes down you may need to top it up with co2 via the cap. You may need to get one that fits sparklet type bulbs or the larger screw on type cylinders. I'm not sure why they sell these kegs without a S30 cap.
