I know I'm being overly precious about this, but someone has sprayed deodorant in the room in which my sloe and blackberry wine is fermenting nicely away under a towel. I find it difficult to believe that this one event will have any adverse effects on the final product, but I'm still quite annoyed that they did this without any consideration for the essentially open vessel of consumable produce in the room at the time. Has anyone got any thoughts on what the dangers of this could be to my must? At the very least it's not something you want in your drink! Would you be happy if someone did this whilst your must was undergoing primary fermentation?

not likely to get through a towel if its reasonable thick. but a spray on deodorant is not something you'd want to breathe in or taste. hoovering and spraying are banned in the room when i have something fermenting and that is with an airtight lid and bubblelock.

Which room are you using? Is it a bedroom?

The aerosol was sprayed in a room not directly into the FV I would be very surprised if the tiny amount that may have made it onto the cloth coverg it then made it through it into the FV.
