You'll really struggle to get gas, especially Calor at the moment.
They won't even allow new contracts on anything other than the 5Kg Patio gas for the foreseeable future..

That's good to know! I have a 7kg Butane, a 6kg Propane and a 13kg Propane bottles - all Calor Gas and luckily all more or less "full".

However, that didn't stop me from reading the attached explanation from Calor Gas ...

... OR wonder how the caravan owners on the coast are going to heat and cook in their caravans when they relax the rules even more!

BTW, I also have 2 x Camping Gaz bottles that I use for "change-over" in the caravan but in the UK they have always been mega-expensive (£10.60 a kilo of gas v. £3 for a Calor Gas 7kg Butane!) so I don't use them very often.

How many use proper Ghee? No way it tastes as well without it.

Agree about ghee but trying to keep the cals down a bit so swapped the ghee out for rapeseed oil and the double cream for Greek yogurt. Full fat mind ha ha!

Sadly I have not cooked with Ghee for a few years

Tonight it's lamb tikka jalfrezi. The mug is my vessel I use for blitzing garlic and ginger with the stick blender...peppers and onions pre cooked..lamb in progress.

Massala frying,tomato paste,methi and chilli added...the chilli's are last years poly tunnel crop out the freezer..ideal for this.

Lamb in...now just a matter of frying inthe curry gravy then adding the pre cooked peppers and onions and some coriander out the greenhouse..

Will take a look at the Dan Toombs book, but I can highly recommend the Hairy Bikers Great Curries.

You won’t get stuff exactly like a takeaway, because usually it’s better, much fuller flavoured with a delicate balance of spices.

With Mrs J away I took the opportunity to cook a batch of their Lamb Pasanda last night, and have just had it for the second night running. It’s delicious. Not like the sickly sweet restaurant pasanda, but as rich with so many flavours.
