I am going to try a honey ale using a coopers real ale kit, should I simply use honey in place of sugar at a 1.25:1 ratio, or would I need some spray malt to give it some body, too?

Cheers :)

Fermentable wise, yeah that's in the ballpark.

1.25kg honey is a lot for an ale though, and I'd suggest (as I suggested in a similar topic yesterday) using 500g honey and 500g sugar or DME. :thumb:
