I was going to add 1.5kg ldme and then dry hop with 50g cascade. But now I'm concerned after godsdog said it was boring. Don't want to waste all them ingredients.

Bottom line is I'll guarantee there are many worse kits out there.
Trouble is the more you do the more you raise the bar.
So, within reason, whatever you do to this kit you won't waste any ingredients.
You are doing the right thing by adding 1.5 kg dme.
And a 50g dry hop is OK but you could go a bit further and try 75 or even 100g!
But whatever you do, don't bin it!!

I've just started drinking my coopers APA. .made with 1.5kg of light spraymalt and a dry hop of 25g each of cascade citra and centennial. I swapped the yeast out for a US05. It's a darker beer but it says that on the Coopers Web site. Mine has turned out very drinkable..nice bitterness and lovely aromas from the hops. I think next time I will maybe either increase the hops or try a single hop.

Cheers

Clint

I can't see how Coopers can claim to produce an AIPA in a can with no additional hops as the canning process will kill the majority of hop flavour. Every other manufacturer (Youngs etc) includes late hops to add.

So yes don't chuck it, a load of Cascade dry hopped and/or steeped will work wonders.

I dry hop most of the Coopers kits except the stout, many of them can be very bland without - some Saaz or Hallertau with the lagers transform them.
