My comments were about NZ hops in general rather than NZ pilsner specifically.

I think we did an NZ Pale as a swap a couple of years ago and I used Nelson Sauvin to bitter and found it quite harsh.
 
I've brewed a lot of kiwi pils with different hops and in my experience bitter with magnum or something similiar. I find kiwi hops very harsh when used for bittering despite some being dual purpose.
I'm going to give Mouteka a rattle at First Wort and a balanced water profile to see if that takes the edge off.
 
@Alastair70 - when would we be looking to do the swaps? Need to figure out where to squeeze them in to my plans.

Been doing some research whilst in NZ, this was very good...

I thought NZ Pils in May or June, the second swap in autumn time.
Can be guided by when others think they’ll be ready.
