Brulosophy may not be technically scientific but they give very good pointers to how things work in the brewing world and although may not scientifically kill some brewing myths but do a good job on them at times

A “more scientific approach” would involve repeated tests with statistically significant results to show repeatability and consistency of outcome. The experiment was a one off with non-significant results even though they were interesting (I thought). Unfortunately my experience of the brewing process is it’s not that consistent so it would be difficult to identically reproduce the same brew process for evaluation. Too many variables! At the end of the day, does it matter? My brewing processes for some would seem over complicated and unnecessary, however it’s what I do, I produce beer that I (and others) enjoy, so does it matter? :confused.:
