No, that's the flat bottom version so I could fit it in the fridge. It's not pressure rated, but otherwise the same thing.
Tried that. Failed :)
I was cheap and bought closed cell generic foam off ebay.
It made no difference to anything and melted to the pot.
Took me ages to get it all off with solvents and elbow grease.
The moral of the story is don't be a tight ****.
I just yeeted what was left of it up the garden and swore a lot.
It made no difference to the mash stability or boil whatsoever so I'm not sure that paying more would have a large impact. Might do, just gave up on the idea.
