I need a few 1/2" silicone o-rings as a couple I have on my kettle are starting to perish.

Last time I bought some about 5 years ago I swear I got about 20 for £2 including delivery, now all I can find is around £1 each without delivery, which is ridiculous for a tiny bit of silicone.

Are these for ball-lock posts? Keg Kingdom have them on their website for 15p each if I recall correctly.

The red ones (I guess colour doesn't matter), for a 1/2" ball valve or thermo well.

£1 each on keg kingdom - 1/2" silicone o ring

I have no use for all the other sizes so not worth the price.

Ebay I get them* from China / Hong Kong really cheap. There the ones resold in the UK for 5x price.
Order early because they take weeks to arrive.

* seals,screws, clips Etc Etc.

Thanks, ordered 50 of them for £2.50 from China. That's 50 O-rings for the same price just the postage on 1 single O-ring would cost me in UK.

I'm all for supporting local and everything but when UK suppliers are getting them from China and selling them for 30 times the price, it is pretty ridiculous.

Just 2 weeks later, my order of 50 has arrived from China. These are the exact same as the ones that come with the SS Brewtech kettle, but they cost me £2.50 rather than £50+

Viton is a very good material. I'm surprised how the O-rings on my King Keg top float barrel have deteriorated so much. They really should be renewed whenever disturbed. But I'm used to equipment working at high pressure and temp. So I had thought beer at ambient would not degrade them.

Same here. I bought some o rings a few years ago from China. Only paid a few quid for a massive selection of them in a plastic compartmented box.

Hey

Do you have a link or seller name please? I'm also after some and this would be perfect but don't want to risk getting the wrong size (had a nightmare with toolstation and screwfix in the past sending me the wrong ones which is pretty ridiculous)

Here you go - 2.4mm Red Rubber O Ring Seal Plumbing Garage HIGH TEMP, Food Grade AD=8~68mm | eBay

I ordered 26*2.4mm to fit my half inch fittings and they are the perfect size.

I haven't tested them yet under heat so can't vouch for their quality, but they look and feel exactly like any other I've used.

50x dip pipe silicon Orings £1.65 from Hong Kong.
