unless you get that moisture resistant mdf I wouldnt use it as it get really funny when damp,
far better to make it out of insulation expanded polywhatever, lighter and will keep heat in also much easier to cut ( bread knife will do at a pinch).
 
Its only bog standard MDF TT, but its really to keep the muck out for when not in use.

Might redo it with marine ply if it takes ages to get up to temp
 
Looking good S. I think I have solved my condensation problem by adding a top made from some 8mm polycarbonate sheet, that should be pretty stable in the water and heat. ;)
Came by it for free, mates scrap bin. :D

the mdf lid will fall apart if you use it during a brew,plus its not food safe as the bonder used is possibly carcinogenic if ingested........

looks good apart from that though :clap:
