can i use this on my boiler

im fitting a tap to my s/steel stockpot, can i use this type,
i would take the hose connector of when i need to keep the pot on a flat surface
will it corrode over time..?
it looks an easy fix.but im a bit wary... :wha:

Being chrome plated brass it won't corrode, I can see no reason why you can't use it.
Were you intending to connect it straight to the stockpot or are you using a tank connector?

OK, well looking at it you could use a flange nut and fit it to the side of a stockpot. However if this is a boiler then you need to attach a hop strainer to it and if it's a HLT then you want a pickup pipe going to the bottom.

afraid i must confess its for biab,
so nothing to technical , and its to drain the wort off into no chill jerry cans....

Then if you don't mind inverting your stockpot to drain off the last couple of litres I don't see a problem.

would prob connect it to the pot with a brass locknut, to make it easy to remove and soak clean
i may well order one then.... :party:
