You must add it to the plain tap water before using the water to make beer.

You have to neutralise the chlorine, before it comes into contact with hopped wort, otherwise its quite likely you will end up with A TCP like taint to your beer.
 
Extract at the moment. Using various pots and pans.

Not really satisfactory. Apart from the Cholrine issue, my hop utilisation is pathetic. Just tried abrew I did 4 weeks back. Its still cloudy and should have been around 100 IBUs. Its actually about as bitter as a mild. :wha:

Bah! Was going to put a brew on tomorrow but wont bother till I get my proper kit togther. :!:

100 IBU's :shock: :sick: :eek: I used 100g of hops yesterday to get 28 IBU, ok it was 40L length. I once brewed an 83 but took four months before it just turned my stomach.
