campden tab in brewing liquor

Afternoon all,

might be able to get a brew done tonight, which would be nice!! If I put a campden tab in the liquor to deal with the chlorine, do I need to leave it for 24hrs before using it? or will it be ok to use given 2 or 3 hrs?
