Here's the lastest buzz word
The singular pronoun "they" - often used by people who identify as gender non-binary - has been named word of the decade by US linguists.

The thing is if I wanted to form a disorder of Jedi knights the powers that be would have none of it...but if I insisted on being from now on known as a pineapple or a ping-pong ball that would be fine
It's all wrong I tell ya. And they go on about Trump...

Wasn’t there a thing about a census and ‘Jedi’ a while back?

HVe you ever seen The Men Who Stare at Goats?

They call themselves Jedi as well lol

An MIT linguistics professor was lecturing his class the other day. "In English," he said, "a double negative forms a positive. However, in some languages, such as Russian, a double negative remains a negative. But there isn't a single language, not one, in which a double positive can express a negative."

A voice from the back of the room piped up, "Yeah, right."

I think this stems from the complexities coming out of genders.

So if bisexual is you fancy a bit of males and females, then what about a man who identifies as a woman or vice versa... you might not fancy that.

Pansexual incompasses this and prevents confusion and awkward conversations I guess...

Couldn't care less whatever people want to call themselves. Just curious as to peoples reactions are as its more likely now that you could "pull" someone in a club without knowing their true/original gender!

The one that really gets on my blue, coal, crested, willow, marsh and great is when people say "gift" instead of "give" or "gifted" instead of "given". if they mean "I was given it as a present or gift" then why don't they say so!

I too am confused - despite the multitude of definitions; mainly because someone keeps adding to the various degrees of sexuality.

I had just got used to LGBT (Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender) and then somebody wanted to add a "Q" for "Queer" - and years of re-educating myself to NOT use the word went down the tube! aheadbutt aheadbutt
