Conclusion
I think we are around day 9 since we got the ferment off an running. FG was 1.011 which beersmith tells me is bang on 4%. There is plenty of yeast in suspension so I bottled up 14 bottles which are back up in the airing cupboard. Im going to leave the rest sit for a couple of days before kegging.
First tast very nice. Hops are right at the front and very fresh at the moment. Green as it is I could swill a few pints in this condition.
I have high hopes for this one.
On the downside the yeast seems to have clumped and created little floating islands in the top of the ale. Im putting this down to the Windsor not getting away when pitched. One of these clumps managed to get into one of my bottles and is floating near the neck...
I will tell you how its drinking in a couple of weeks.

How does it drink.
Well I finally kegged the un-bottled part today and it wouldn't pass a fecktest it has a slight haze,,, but who cares about a haze when it tastes like this ..... its like angels crying on your tongue. I will try one of the bottles in a bit to see how that has come along. (EDIT just realized I didn't post the bottling of 7L of this last week)
I drink Butcombe regularly and this is just like the stuff I buy only with that homemade freshness.
When I get my shiny brewery working this will be the first 80L brew. followed by an 80L kenny.

just poured a bottle and its nicely carbonated, but hazy as fek. Mind you I just put it in the chiller yesterday to drop the particulates and its at 5C so Im hoping the haze is down to chill...... This is outstanding on the taste-buds. :drink: :drink: :drink: :drink: :drink: :drink: :drink: :drink:
