Hi guys I hope you can help. My 40 litre buffalo gl349 arrived and I'm preparing for by biab session. My question is what temperature does it heat to via the 1 - 5 settings. The manual does not tell you so I assume 5 is max boil but 1 - 4 i have no idea. If I for example wanted it at 70 degrees and held there which setting would I put I too? Thanks for your help.

I think you are going to have to experiment with a thermometer and balancing the thermostat. I can't think that there is a standard scale on a boiler like that. Perhaps if someone else has one they could give you a ball park on the controller

I've got a buffalo but think my dial goes to 6, it's in the shed so can't check atm.

With mine, 72 degrees is just before the 4, so just under 3/4 of the dial. My guess for yours would be about 3.5 but that could be way out.

Experiment with it and use a sharpie to mark on the dial where your strike temp is.

Thanks for the info marcarm. I would have thought buffalo would have guidelines of some sort.
