I`m a big fan of brewdog beers and was looking at the website, they do a 41% ipa and a 32% ris in 330ml bottles - i would love to try them but at £69.50 for one bottle of each

If I had the money spare I would go for it - just to see :D

So.........has anyone tried them, or would you? Money aside we all would but its a lot of money for a beer :hmm:

I've had the first stupidly strong one, it was certainly interesting but not something I'd buy myself. If you want to try it I'd suggest getting a bottle between 5 or so friends and just having a really small sample.

I'm not sure if it was Tactical Nuclear Penguin or Sink the Bismark but I'm sure a pub in Scotland was selling one of them by the shot. One shot per person per night. The Bismark regained the title of strongest beer getting it back from the German's who took the title from Penguin.

Bought some of the Atlantic IPA (aged in barrels on the Brewdog owner's fishing ship for two months at sea) and it was a quality beer, totally unique and well worth it. Not everyone's cup of tea and tbh I find their "no bullsh1t" "non" advertising has worn a little thin over the years.

I was quite unimpressed by that one to be honest. Not worth a tenner.

The other two that the OP is thinking about... I've tried them but they're not really my cup of tea. I do love the hoppy weaker ones (Punk, Hardcore, Dogma, etc) though.

Selfriges have Paradox in at the moment for over 5 quid a bottle, I'm wondering whether it is worth getting a bottle to try....

That's a fantastic beer, especially the Smokehead variety.
