There's no specific thread that I am aware of. Likes and dislikes are a very personal thing and it would be hard to make such a list that is meaningful.
However there are many posts, especially in the kit review section where folks give a personal view on kits they have made. Reading through them one can get an idea of what is favoured and what is not.
