Brew fridge door surgery

Hi all

After trying to make my pressure bottle sit in my brew fridge properly I am having serious thoughts on removing the inner panel on the door. Only problem is I can't find any screws or clips that are holding it in place under the seal. Will have another look but am thinking I could cut / dremel the offending protrusion off and then patch over the hole with some plastic and silicone to seal it. Any thoughts?

Stanley knife is what I used should Alice off pretty easily. I just used some gaffer tape to cover it up but silicone would probably be better.

I found mine was clipped in under the rubber seal and the plastic itself was glue to the fridge door, but I am sure they are all different! Stanley knife and then you will see.

Thanks guys. Will have another look when I get in after work but thinking Stanley knife is the way to go, just got to find mine now!!

Got a similar protrusion on my kegerator that when I tried to fit 3 kegs in (+gas) seemed to be stopping the door closing. Need to try jiggling things around a bit to see if I can close it as it was only a quick trial before but if I couldn't fit it all in then fully expected to hack it off with a Dremmel or Stanley knife and then put some duct tape over it. Silicone might look neater though!

Only reasoning behind the silicone is for hygiene really, got some bathroom sealer left over that is mould resistant. And neatness too
