Experience will eventually guide you. I used Verdant for the first time my last brew and yes, it was all done in a week and I kegged it after 12 days including 4 days cold crash. Other yeasts are slower but the 2-2-2 rule is a pretty good place to start...2 weeks ferment, 2 weeks carbing and 2 weeks conditioning after bottling or kegging.

Any advice on the length of cold crash? It's been sat at 5°C for a couple of days, took 2 days to get down there and took a sample today and took a gravity test out of interest and SG which came out 1013 (temp corrected), but still looks pretty cloudy/murky. I half expected this given the amount of hops whirlpooled and the fact that there is 500g of wheat in there too. As I said I forgot to use Irish moss in the last 15 mins of the boil, and wondered if it will clear much more than this? I'll give it until Wednesday probably and aim to bottle then.

I usually give it 4 days in cold crash for a 5 gallon brew. Cloudy/murky is not always a bad thing, depends on the type of beer. Here's one I made recently....

NEIPA with tons of hops and oats. It's a lovely drink.

Yeah, it's halfway between a W coast and a NEIPA so fully anticipated some cloudiness. Will bottle as planned on Wednesday and see how it comes out in a few weeks 🤞

I transferred my NEIPA to a primed pressure barrel and left it for 2 weeks to carbonate at 20C. Conditioned it for 5 days at 10C before my first tasting. My excuse....this style of beer needs to be drunk young :laugh8:. Hope yours turns out good @Metman79. Cheers acheers.
