Well done Dan, great job!It was essentially the Courage Best recipe from the Wheeler book.... not a patch on the way it used to come up at The Ship though
PS Are you bringing it to homebrew club?

Well done, what category? Not as impressive as most. But I managed a cheeky third in category
Experimental, it was actually a derivative of the one I sent out to Hoddy for last month's HBF comp.Well done, what category?
In Dartford@dan125 Which Ship was it though?
I have always wondered what beers get entered into the experimental categoryExperimental, it was actually a derivative of the one I sent out to Hoddy for last month's HBF comp.
In my case, a beer in knew would score badly in pretty much any other category.I have always wondered what beers get entered into the experimental category
I salute your experimentation! I’ve always played it safe, but I joined my local Homebrew club a few months back and they’ve got me thinking a lot more outside my comfort zone.I also put in a brett'ed rauch. Which I now suspect would have done badly in every category
Since a mad idea got me a medal at gbbf over the summer, I've just commited to full nonsense behaviour to see where it lands me...I salute your experimentation! You might have just persuaded me to keep my Percy Pig sour for after Christmas for the Scottish Craft Brewers comp.Since a mad idea got me a medal at gbbf over the summer, I've just commited to full nonsense behaviour to see where it lands me...

I’ve done a fair bit of reading up on it and it should work. There’s a small batch recipe for a Percy Hefeweizen floating about online, and a Fife nano brewery did a Percy Pale, but I think it would be perfect for the fruity “modern sour” craze.
If they are doing it by table number my witbier should be one of the first scores up because wheats was table 1.We should do, but they said on their Facebook page it would take a few weeks to get everything uploaded
