Added these two to the collection. Although Vintage Beer is aimed at the drinker/collector, there's some pretty useful information if you're wanting to brew a keeper.

Yea, his takes are a bit liberal. So is the whole mythos around Saisons.. Beer writers tend to have that tendency it seems.

I did get some more books in the classic beer styles. I ordered the hard to find and out of print Lambic in an online secondhand book store. So my chances of completing the series went up by a lot. (still needs to arrive so not on the picture).

Lastly I got some books on home distilling. I'm not sure if this is a topic for this forum though so I'll leave it at that.

All books were carefully inspected by our cat Barley.

Have ordered Stan Hieronymus' Brewing Wheat With Wheat book.

I started with the Big Book of Brewing by Dave Line. That was all I used for years. Then Brewing Beers Like Those You Buy, also by Dave Line.

Then Charlie Papazian's Complete Joy of Homebrewing, and now (for the last 10 years) How To Brew by John Palmer.
I have enjoyed using all of them.

I listened to a Beersmith podcast about hops with Scott Janish. It was a real eye opener so I picked up his book. He has read and summarised a stack of scientific studies on hop flavours and aromas. While the book is focussed on IPAs, I am sure it will have universal use.

@Dorst I've been looking for the Dick Cantwell Barleywine book for ages, please tell e it's terrible so I don't suffer from too much FOMO :)

Got some recipes I'd like to try from my youth
- Morrells Varsity, Brakspear Special, Old Hooky and Badger best bitter from a quick skim.

There's a lot of the 'standards' in my collection. A few foody books with info on fermented foods too.

Talking of brew books, I really love a good read and I know it's the same old stuff that's been recycled from book to book. But, are there any new ones I might have missed?
