Really? Sadly I do not have an Aldi anywhere near me, just Lidl. The cheapest bitter I have seen in there is Bishops Finger at £1.25 each. Still works out cheaper than buying bottles though. On that note, Aldi and Tesco often have Banks for under £1, so it's cheaper than buying an empty 500ml bottle, plus you get beer too!
Bishops finger is easily 25p more enjoyable than Banks's. You have nothing to worry about.Really? Sadly I do not have an Aldi anywhere near me, just Lidl. The cheapest bitter I have seen in there is Bishops Finger at £1.25 each. Still works out cheaper than buying bottles though.

Hi Johnboy.
I am still new to this hobby so I bought some swing top bottles cheap on eBay and then some new ones from The Range £12.99 for 12. I have about 84 at the moment. I also have some short stubby 500 ml brown bottles which fit nicely into some milk crates I acquired. The trouble with the swing tops and a lot of the brewery bottles are that they are a tad too tall for the crates. The swing tops are easier for me at bottling time than capping the stubbies but I suppose its down to personal preference at the end of the day. Like Clint said its cheaper to use freebies after all!
