Boring day, boring evening. Not much money, local bottle shop uninspiring, nearest local pub worse. Do I have a couple of lovely pints of Razorback IPA, even though its not ready, or get on my bike and ride 20mins into town for a decent pint..? Bearing in mind due to the boring day my daughter got ratty, I got snappy and my missus got in between :/

I love to get on my mountain bike and pedal on down the old railway track on a nice day, and its not for the ' health benefit', i dont see the point of pedaling all that way, then to come back!

I like to have a goal when i go out on my bike, and that goal is either a pub down the track 4 miles away, or, if i am in the mood, the nearest town 'Southwell' and that has about 12 pubs to 'visit', and that is a 9 Mile ride!!

be careful if riding a bike on public roads whilst pissed....the police will nick you and you could lose your driving licence, if off road then not a problem

perhaps you could go foraging for free ingredients

get some free booze on the bubble :thumb:

grab a rucksack and some plastic bags

jump on your bike and see what you can find :-)

a few kilos of berry would be nice

if you can find elderberry blackberry and damsons
you could get a port on the go, see GA's recipe here:-

I doubt that, motoring offences are just that, there needs to be a motor. I know that police try it on but if you challenge it on that basis they tend to back down, I understand.

They're not motoring offences, they're Road Traffic Offences and a bike is road traffic.

Pissed in charge of one of those means you aren't responsible enough to be in charge of a car... Or at least I think that's how it goes...

Thanks for the suggestions guys, it was an immediate request. I waited about 5mins before I got on my bike and high-tailed it down to my fav local, it was fun, hit the Cockspur when I got home and fell asleep on the sofa. Hmm Megaross I did try that between the ages of 14-19. I have had some near-death misses on a bike when drunk, most notably when I rode into the Avon after my b'day some years back when I was running a pub. And I'm looking forward to getting out soon to get the damsons and berries that are dripping from the trees near my house, then the sloes a few weeks later...

bored?

Job done!

Riding a pedal cycle drunk has no implications for your driving licence...Trust me. Clearly there are other risks involved cycling drunk and playing with other traffic that's bigger, faster and harder than you but you know what they are. ;)

Never seen it, never likely to, though I'm sure its entertaining, I just can't be arsed. I don't really do TV, much less commit to watching a series. I think it comes from my youth, we were out every night of the week watching bands, or in someones house/car listening to music, then I worked in pubs and was out every night of the week then watching bands, going to parties. So now I sit and watch TV, maybe a bit of comedy, Attenborough, never 'talent' shows 'reality' shows, series, don't really do DVDs neither. I do like a good movie, but its not often I watch one, SWMBO falls asleep within 1/2hr, even in the cinema...

Remember the old Jethro joke?..... " I'm going down the pub, put your coat on"
(wife) "Why? are you taking me?". "No I'm turning the heating off"

I drive my disability buggy to the pub to watch Sly sports. I never thought about being chased by a police car? I might get a larger battery and give them a run for their money!
