Evening all :thumb:

I'd prefer a dried yeast... any suggestions? Perhaps something with a mid - low attenuation?

Or perhaps harvest the danstar windsor I used for my oatmeal stout?

After some research I've decided to go for Nottingham if I can get it locally, and brew at 20'c for a slightly fruitier taste.

Am I correct in thinking Wilko's do their own generic ale yeast, but it is actually the nottingham strain?

They do. It's sold as Gervin Ale Yeast I think and is meant to be the same strain as Nottingham

There is one known dodgy batch but I imagine that will all have worked through the system by now. It's fairly well documented over on JBK (probably here too, but I'm a bit green to this forum :) )

I'd go for the Windsor if you want lower attenuation and fruitier esters though.

My LHBS say that Gervin GV12 is nottingham. It's only about £1.25 a pack :D
