Folks.
Really appreciate the replies. As an aside, how long would a 25kg bag of crushed malt store for? As I am new to AG, I will spend some time experimenting with different ingredients and would hate to waste anything.

That's the thing with Rob at The Malt Miller (and I'm pretty sure he does this for mail order as well as local), email your recipe and he mills it fresh into a bag and will package it up with your hops and other stuff and send it to you.

Easy as it gets and no storage worries!

I bought an 80L black plastic bin with a lockdown lid, once you've used 6kg for a brew the rest of the sack fills the bin at lid level. Cost about £9 ish from memory. Hope this helps oh different colours cost more but you can have different colour just to stop swmbo putting the wrong bin out ;)

Could I send him 2 or 3 page references (recipes) from Wheeler's book and he bag it up?

Cheers

I'd imagine so... I emailed him a modified GW hooky recipe yesterday, picked it up today. He even remembered that I'll be BIABing so milled it finer...
