When using the bench capper , I pull down on the handle and find the cap and bottle stuck in the bell, I gently wriggle the bottle out and bring the handle down again just to make sure and then wriggle it out again.
There are no instructions so I just found this worked and stuck with it !
I then dip my full and capped bottle in a sink of water, this cleans off any spilt beer / sugar and would show up any leaks (there have been none so far !)
Then stand the bottles on a teatowel to dry.
I take a very leisurely attitude to bottling as I tend to mess up when trying to rush !
Hope you find the bench capper as good as I do.
