The sooner its over the better then all the old farts can resign (as they have said they will) and we will see if Boris is as daft as he makes out. (I don't believe he is)

Boris is in.
I see by the previous thread that a lot of you guys are atheists
With Boris as PM maybe it's time to start praying

I do not understand how a man so obviously unfit for office has been elected by the Tory party as the new PM? If he's the best they've got, maybe it is time for them to disappear into extinction.

He beat Jeremy Hunt comfortably winning 92,153 votes to his rival's 46,656 so the vast majority of his own party do not believe he is unfit for office.

Just because you do not think he is the right man for the job doesn't mean he isn't lets see what happens over the next few weeks instead of wrighting him off before he even gets started.

BTW i have never been a Tory voter and never will be.

I'm a tory voter allways haave been but!!! I never for one moment thought he would be PM. I don't think he's that clever just coz he's Eton & oxford educated & can speak a few languages personally I think he's a complete f*ckwit.

But saying that he was probally the best out of the other limp wristed candidtates, one thing for sure there's gonna be some interesting time & laughs ahead.

He is someone who definitely rings the end of the bell, always thought he was simple in the past but I'm intrigued to see what he can or can't do for the country

His fitness for office shouldn't even be under any doubt. The man is a proven liar and would be behind bars if his lawyer didn't have the case halted on a technicality. And that's before you look at his character and views on people who aren't white, English and wealthy. It says a lot about the Conservative Party members that they are keen to have him lead their party, and our country. Staggering.

Let me remind you of all those American actors and musicians that moved to Canada after Trump won.
Hint: they didn't.

He won 0.2 % of the UK adult vote - the Tory membership is tiny, aged 70-90, on the brink of death and as nihilistic as you would expect life long members of a cult to be, faced with their imminent extinction. A recent poll showed they would be happy to see the UK economy tank, their own children's prospects collapse - of course they would! If they could arrange a nuclear exchange at their moment of death they would. The Tories haven't won a majority for decades. The writer J.K. Chesterton wrote in the 1890's with a sense of wonder, concerning the poor and the rest: Why don't they kill us? Still a relevant question. Nye Bevan - reflecting on his personal family history of excruciating cruelty from Tories, in the minefields etc - famously said "Tories are scum". As true today as it as always been.
