Hi all

I have been brewing for about 18 months now and normally bottle my beer
but I have decided to try and use bag in a box system so I can use my new toy, a beer engine
but I have a question I'm hoping someone on here can answer

After I have transferred in to my secondary fermentation vessel to clear the brew
can I put it straight in to the bag or do I need to carbonate/condition it before hand

thanks in advance

Just discovered The Craft Beer Channel on YouTube last night and I watched this episode where he did the same thing to connect it to a cask hand pump.
Link here

He uses priming sugar which I would be tempted to add straight to the bag, depending on hop debris I would be tempted to use the bags for secondary. Five Points Brewery mention in the first video that they cold crash and then add directly to the kegs.

I must admit I am tempted after watching the video, and I know a few people who run a mobile bar and the bag in box system has always worked well.

They are as you can see from the posts by other members who obviously have never used them but are willing to take the time and research the forum and as it seems there is very little info about them.
If you were going to use them for dispensing I would assume you would prime them for carbonation.

That seems a little rude. You got two responses, and haven't even acknowledged them.
I found the video posted by @Richard_H useful. Just got to get a beer engine now...

As has been posted above people including myself have tried to help and it's fairly obvious from the lack of replies it's not something many members have tried before so it's not surprising you haven't had a direct answer, as has also been mentioned your reply is both rude and highly likely to mean you will now not get an answer to your question.
