Yes, they have done these kits for a long time. It is the 11 litre kits that are the best ones...

More here including a picture which clearly shows the original columns used to support the original platforms and now been given a new life supporting the new platforms. Apparently column spacing was determined by the dimensions of a beer barrel.

Many thanks for the link.

SWMBO and I passed through St Pancras twice last month and yet again we stood there in awe just admiring what has to be one of the most iconic railway stations in the world.

I wish I'd had that snippet of information at the time!

Just finished a double box of the AIPA and thought it was very good. Would love to buy it again, but can't find it anywhere. The range only sells an English IPA.
Got a tequila & lime kegged also, left out the sweetener sachet, it's OK, good for summer but still relatively sweet and very limey.

Just sampled the partial mash i did with 2 x real ale kit's, 2lb of marris otter, and a pound of crystal. I didnt add any irish moss to the boil, so feared it would be cloudy (added gelatine fining's to the keg) Pulled a pint off, and it was like soup, pulled another and it was a lot clearer, third pint off and it had a slight haze, but it tasted superb, and had a really nice hop aroma might leave till christmas, it's a bit special.

Hi, I asked at the end of November as I was told they were going to be sold in the Range after bonfire night.......

I was told that everything had been sent out to the Range distribution centres but it was up to them when they put them into store....

They hinted that it may be before Christmas for a gift idea but I suspect possibly after Christmas.

An aside from the topic, the lady who replied via email when I asked for info on the above had a digital signature on her email, including the time which was NZ time... New Zealand, which also makes me believe that MYOD could be a subsidiary of Mangrove Jack's... Just a thought.

Dooh gonna save it til christmas, only 1/4 of the barrel left now, that's how good it is..

Had a look at their website, MYOD are a subsidiary of SPL International, a yeast and alcoholic drinks ingredients specialist and part of Bevie, who own Mangrove Jacks and Grainfather.

Visited The Range yesterday and they do indeed have the Aipa kits in store.

The issue being is the kit consists of the equipment also to make an 11 litre brew.
They are retailing at £24.99 which is out of the question just to buy and use the beer kit.

For all purposes the beer kit inside seems to be the same, same hops etc etc.

Didn't get a picture as I left my phone in the car. Will try next time I go as I don't think they are going to fly from the shelves at that price....

I made up a 'real ale' kit yesterday that I bought earlier in the year.In addition to the kit malt I used a 650g jar of potters LME from holland and barrett and 100g of the supplied brewing sugar. Its bubbling away like a good un.og was 1044(11.5 ltrs)
I was wondering if the supplied 10g hop pellets will be enough taste or will it be hidden as I've used the extra malt extract?

When I did the sugar vs malt with the IPA the malt one killed the hops and the sugar one was more like an IPA. Over time as the hops died out the malt one was slightly better in comparison. Being a real ale I think it matters less and maybe the malt will be the winner, especially as the kit comes with less extract to start with.

Ok, here are the kits in the Range.

It looks like it is a full half batch starter kit.
Has a small fermenting vessel, Syphon, sanitiser etc I think without opening the box.
They also have a wine kit, same size and price.
Too pricey for an 11 litre extract kit.

Double the price they ended up at B&m ! Ive got a real ale brewing at moment and the lager and Aipa still to do. The swing top bottles were cheap at 7-99 for 12, I bought a couple of boxes of them as well.
