I once scored under 15 for an aipa... one bjcp judge said it tasted of drainsI actually just searched my messages, it got 20
Dam I thought I would have taken it with a stout of 19. That having drunk a bottle myself afterwards was like someone left the Calpol bottle open in the bottom of a box somewhereI once scored under 15 for an aipa... one bjcp judge said it tasted of drains
Wow thanks guys - I’m chuffed to bits with thatI will post the feedback later in the week but the top 3 were....
1. @Benfleet Brewery - London Bitter - 41 PTS
2. @The-Engineer-That-Brews - ruby mild - 41 pts
3. @Tanglefoot - ESB - 38 PTS
Benfleet just nudged it to first based on being closer to a bjcp style. We also felt that although the ruby mild was a really tasty beer at 4.5% @Benfleet Brewery bitter had the quality despite its abv.
I would add that all the beers scored over 30pts and probably only needed minor adjustments to get closer to the top 3.

…and to @The-Engineer-That-Brews - I just noticed joint-winner, sorry TETB! (Think I may still be a bit sluggish after a weekend in Portsmouth with friends).Well done guys and especially of course to @Benfleet Brewery
Heh, not quite: Benfleet edged it due to being closer to a recognised style :-P…and to @The-Engineer-That-Brews - I just noticed joint-winner, sorry TETB! (Think I may still be a bit sluggish after a weekend in Portsmouth with friends).
