Anyone tried these?? Am planning a pale ale with them at the weekend using magnum for bittering and Armadillo later in the boil and flame out.
Meant to be 'Tangerine / California Clementine with hints of honey dew melons. AA= 5.9% Beta = 3.2%' from Homebrew Company.

No but annoyingly I was meant to get some for xmas but they sent the wrong ones and my sister didn't check. So I've got some hallertauer I don't need.

They're a cross of amarillo and something, hence the orangey taste. I'll be interested in how they turn out for you.

I also want to try belma, hard to get hold of but apparently reek of strawberries

thanks Gareth. I also got some Eldorado today and note your Eldorado single hop pale 'Comin' up' so will need to compare notes...though my Eldorado is a few brews down the line.

Not yet, but hope they are good as I have a kilo of them :)

Keep us posted.

I did read they are not brilliant as a single hop and was going to use them with Perle, probably in couple of weeks.

Hmm, yeah just looked and found a lb of belma for $13. That's ridiculously cheap, about £9 for 500g ish. We should do more bulk buying as a group. Difficult to coordinate I guess.

Not really if one person is willing to front the money. I did something similar with my hop taster packs

Very true. I'd be willing to stump up if people were interested.

Thing is I've got my brews mostly planned for the rest of the year (and into next year!).

Some hops I'm looking to get though are:
Sorachi ace (planning a super pale single hop)
Belma
Brewers gold
Pacific gem
Brawmling cross

The rest I've already got. And many of the above are easily found in the UK. Belma being the only trickier ones, even then the home brew company have pellets. Only reason I haven't bought them is that they are 14 harvest and I won't use them til much later in the year, so I'd rather try and get 15 harvest.
